Care for Kids

The Care for Kids Program offers health care to children in Niagara without a health care provider.

This program is available to children from birth, until the age of 5. The program provides access points to primary health care services, and offers opportunities to meet with health professionals for ongoing resource navigation, breastfeeding support, and various programs and services.

Health Care Services

For children 0-5 without a healthcare provider

  • Well-baby & well-child visits

  • Immunizations

  • Acute care clinics

Acute Care Clinics

Weekdays - call for an appointment first thing in the morning

To book an appointment: call in the morning for a same day appointment.

If your child is experiencing an emergency, call 911. This clinic is not for ongoing, long-term illnesses.

Acute/new illnesses such as:

  • Diarrhea & constipation

  • Colds, coughs & congestion

  • Urinary Tract Infections

  • Ear infections

  • Rashes

  • & more

Well-Baby & Well-Child Appointments

Appointments must be pre-booked

To book an appointment: call 2-3 weeks before your baby is due for their vaccinations. This clinic is not to address health issues, but for routine visits only.

Routine visits only for ages:

  • 2 months

  • 4 months

  • 6 months

  • 12 months

  • 15 months

  • 18 months

  • 4-5 years

Please bring a copy of the most up-to-date immunization records.

Important info about vaccinations:

Please bring your yellow vaccination card to each appointment, and ensure you have an updated vaccine record prior to attending a Care for Kids Appointment. 

To access your vaccine records online immediately or report any outstanding vaccines, please click here. Kindly check your yellow immunization card if you have one, as some primary doctors may not report for you. To connect with Niagara Region Public Health Vaccine Clinics to book an appointment if catch-up vaccines are needed, or if translation services are required to obtain an Ontario vaccine record in English, please click here.

Ensuring your records are current will enable our team to provide you with efficient and safe care during your appointment. If you need assistance updating your vaccine records, please call and make an appointment with our family support worker.
