COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FALL 2019

GOOD FOOD BOX: Enjoy fresh fruits & vegetables without the hassle of going to the grocery store. Orders are taken the first two weeks of the month, $15 for a small box and $20 for a large box. Call reception for details.   COFFEE CLUB: Join us for a cup of coffee, light snack and good conversation Friday from 2-3pm. No registration required,  everyone welcome! CARING FOR MY COPD: This 10 week group is for people who have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) including those recently hospitalized due to COPD. Consider this FREE community based program to help you gain control of your COPD. For details or to register, call Amanda at ext. 237. 
 
MONTHY COOKING CLASSES: Learn some basic cooking skills and delicious recipes alongside our Dietitian in our monthly cooking classes. Upcoming dates: October 24th, November 21st, and December 19th from 1 - 3 pm. . Call Chloe at ext. 289 to register. 
 
FIT FOR ALL:  Join us for our drop-in all-level adult exercise classes using dumbbells and resistance bands. We are hosting the Fit For All in partnership with the Niagara Falls Public Library at their 4848 Victoria Street location! Join us Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 - 10:45 am. (Exclusion dates: Oct. 11, 14, 16, 21). For more information call Marnie at ext. 293. 
 
SMART RECOVERY: This is a drop-in group to help you achieve a healthy, positive and balanced life to leave your addictive behaviours behind. Monday's from 2-3:30pm. For more information, call Lisa at ext. 245.

Wednesday, Oct. 23rd - Connected People - Yoga in the Park from 2 - 3:30pm at A.J. McKinley Park. Everyone is Welcome! 
 
Friday, Oct. 25th - Building Vibrant Communities - Join us at 6868 Ailanthus Avenue from 1 - 3pm for our Hot Topic "Enhancing Belonging" followed by some fellowship and light refreshments.  Everyone is welcome!

YOUTH PROGRAMS



LUNCH BUNCH: We're hanging out at the Niagara Falls Public Library at the Stamford Centre every lunch hour from 11:30am-1pm during the school year providing snacks and outreach services. If you're a high school student on lunch hour, pop by for snacks and support! 
 
QUEER YOUTH COLLECTIVE: Youth ages who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, join us Monday evenings here at NFCHC for fun, learning opportunities,  peer support and snacks. From 4-5:30pm. Ages 13-18 First and Third Mondays of the month. Ages 19-29 Second and Fourth Mondays of the month. Excludes holidays. Drop in, no registration required. HOLI-GAY OPEN MIC. NIGHT: Celebrate the season with your Queer fam at our next Open Mic event at our centre! Acts are open to wide variety of performance styles, including (but not limited to) musicians, poets, dancers, comedians, etc.! Tuesday December 17th 6:30pm-8:30pm. All ages.
